Mosier Climate and Weather

Like most of the West Coast of the US, Mosier has a Mediterranean-type climate, with cool wet winters and warm dry summers. Most precipitation falls from November to March, and snowfall varies between a little and a lot. Conversely, it rarely rains during July and August, and the sun is usually shining with low temps in the 60s and highs mostly in the 80s to low 90s.

Summer temperatures, with typical highs in the 80s and 90s, are usually moderated by the prevailing easterly winds, but on hot days the wind often dies down.

We do get arctic weather, and occasionally stay near or below freezing for as long as a month. Typically, though, we get snowstorms here or there, with milder weather in between.

Land below 600′ elevation lies in the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 8a, near the edge of 8b, so on average over the course of record-keeping, the lowest the temperature gets is about 15°.
