Mosier City Council

City Council Members are elected volunteers.  They live within City limits and are your neighbors.  They may have full-time jobs and families, but they also spend a lot of time on City committees and projects because they love Mosier.

The Mosier City Council usually meets the first, and sometimes the third, Wednesday evenings of the month – see the calendar for details.  If you want to receive email notices of the meeting schedules and agendas, just fill out a simple form.

Come join us and help us to represent the needs of all Mosier citizens. Contact City Hall (contact info on this page) about the election cycle. When there are vacancies on Council, you can apply for a nomination to a City Council seat as long as you are a registered voter and have been a resident of Mosier for at least 12 months prior to applying.

The volunteers below are the faces of your Mosier local government.

WITT ANDERSON: Mayor

Witt Anderson and his wife Myrna moved to Mosier in 2016 after living in the Sherwood/Newberg area for nearly 30 years.  Witt retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers with 35 years of service involving the Federal Columbia River Power System.  He previously spent several years as a volunteer and Board member with Habitat for Humanity and currently is a volunteer with the Mosier Fire District.

Witt continues part-time work as a consultant with Federal agencies and Tribes on Columbia River issues and aside from volunteer work, he and Myrna enjoy outdoor recreation activities in the Gorge.

BRENNA CAMPBELL: City Council President

RON WRIGHT: City Councilor

Ron and his wife Jodi recently moved to Mosier in 2018. They love the strong sense of community here, and the benefits of living in a small town. They also enjoy local activities, including windsurfing, skiing, cycling, kayaking and hiking. And now there are grandbabies to play with too!

Before retiring and moving to Mosier, Ron worked as a test engineer for Intel Corp in Beaverton. There he used his natural curiosity and troubleshooting skills to help debug the silicon manufacturing process, as well as design process test structures for device characterization. He hopes this ability to understand and evaluate complex systems will be of value when helping to move Mosier forward as the council tackles infrastructure and policy challenges in the coming years.

CHARLES CANNON: City Councilor

Charles Cannon, LAc: Charlie was appointed to Mosier City Council in 2019. He has been a member of the Mosier Community for over 20 years and is a second-generation Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, licensed Acupuncturist, and Board Certified Herbalist. In February 2016, Charlie became the only certified acupuncture sports medicine practitioner in the Gorge.

He holds a Master’s degree from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Nursing, Emergency Medicine, and Philosophy from the University of Utah (2000-2004). As a sponsored telemark skier of 12 years and a celebrated competitor in big-mountain competitions, Charlie has a deep passion for skiing as well as snowboarding, windsurfing, kiteboarding, and George recreation.

NOAH ESTES: City Councilor

Noah Estes is a lifelong Mosier resident and a wildland fire helicopter rappeler with the U.S. Forest Service. He attended Columbia Gorge Community College, where he served as ASG President, before earning a degree from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. He also serves on the board of the Mid-Columbia Economic Development District.
An avid runner and surfer with a background in wildland fire, Noah brings firsthand knowledge of the region’s land, water, and infrastructure challenges to his work on the City Council. He is committed to preserving Mosier’s character and community for the people who call it home.
