The City has been notified by Green Diamond Logging that a logging operation will begin next week and is expected to continue for approximately four (4) weeks. Additional logging activity is anticipated periodically throughout the summer; however, this notice pertains specifically to the upcoming project.
Residents and motorists should expect an increase in logging truck traffic traveling through town during this period. The primary area of activity will include the Huskey and Elder area.
Green Diamond Logging has advised that all drivers have been instructed to remain mindful of posted speed limits and to minimize noise impacts while traveling through the community.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution, allow additional travel time, and remain attentive to increased heavy truck traffic.
